Archway Over the Main Entrance, Union Station, Downtown Los Angeles Uncredited and Undated Photograph
Union Station, mirabile dictu, is still standing and still serving trains. That’s SO unlike LA, but I guess such things do, on rare occasions, happen. It was opened in 1939, and was the last of the major urban train stations to be built in the U.S. An absolutely great building, well worth a peek if you’re visiting this humble city.
